How We Collect Data:

We collect personal information directly from you when you make the decision to become a supporter or a donor or if you contact us. When you fill in a form or provide your details on our social media pages, fundraising pages or website, you may see one or more tick boxes allowing you to opt-in to receive marketing communications from us by email. 

PLEASE NOTE: if you have received a memory box from Jersey Maternity or other parties that work with us your information is securely data protected and is NOT passed on to us. 

Philip’s Footprints will not ask for any sensitive personal data as defined under the The Data Protection (Jersey) Law 2018 but should you share this information with us, such as any physical or mental health issues we commit to hold this data securely.

Why Do We Collect Your Personal Information:

  • To record and process donations
  • To keep you up to date about our work including the promotion of events
  • To fundraise more efficiently
  • To provide volunteer support for our events
  • To see who attends courses funded by the charity

Marketing Permission: 

We may wish to share with you information about our work, news, appeals, campaigns, events and information on volunteering.

Email marketing – We will ask for your permission to contact you by email for marketing purposes. We use a third party email service called Mailchimp and your details will be held securely by them for the purposes of connecting you by email.

Postal marketing – From time-to-time, we may send you information about our work by post unless you have told us you would prefer not to receive this information.

Donations: Philip’s Footprints has no knowledge of, or access to any banking information that you submit to our JustGiving pages, Racenation pages or if you donate via Paypal.  Any transactions made on the JustGiving, Racenation or Paypal website are made over a secure link. Please refer to, and for more information on how your personal data and payment information is processed.

The information which we have access to, unless you have elected to remain anonymous, is your name, email address and the amount donated. This information will only be used to claim Jersey Gift Aid on donations over £50 for any online donations or any R10 forms in relation to manual donations.
