Baby Loss Awareness Week #BLAW
Each year Baby Loss Awareness Week runs 9th - 15th October. This gives bereaved families the opportunity to come together and remember and honour the all too brief lives of their babies.
Philip's Footprints are proud to be part of the 'Baby Loss Awareness Week' Alliance of Charities. The charities leading Baby Loss Awareness Week provide support to anyone affected by pregnancy loss and the death of a baby, and work with health professionals and services to improve care.
The week also enables us to spotlight baby loss awareness and consider how, as
individuals and communities, we can meet the needs of bereaved parents and
family members and work to prevent causes of these problems.
This October we are fundraising for a CuddleCot please go here if you would like to participate
Baby Loss Awareness Week 9th - 15th October

Throughout the week bereaved parents, their families and friends, unite with each other and others across the world to commemorate the lives of babies who died during pregnancy, at or soon after birth and in infancy.
Baby Loss Awareness Week culminates with the global ‘Wave of Light’ on 15th October, which is also recognised as International Pregnancy & Infant Loss Remembrance Day and where candles are lit across the globe, in memory.
The charity invites you to join other families across the world by lighting a candle at 7pm local time and leaving it burning for at least one hour to remember all babies that have died too soon. This can be done individually or in a group, at home or in a communal space. As it reaches 7pm in each time zone, this creates a ‘Wave of Light’ around the world.
To join Philip’s Footprints virtual Wave of Light, take a photo of your candle and post it to their Facebook event, or just share on Facebook, Twitter or Instagram using #WaveOfLight at 7pm local time.

On 15th October we will again have the Fort Regent Dome lit in pink and blue, in memory.
